2024 HOLIDAY SHOP INFORMATION
GOOD GIFT HOLIDAY SHOP 2024: December 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 This is our eleventh year providing a unique holiday shopping experience for CIS kids, complete with handmade and upcycled gifts for their loved ones and the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship while also giving back to the community. In previous years, our Biz Kids have sold over $3,500/yr and donated over $1,000/yr to various local charities! This year we’re hoping to have our best year yet, and parent support is very important – we need volunteers and parent support for the Biz Kids.
Important Dates to Remember
Thursday, November 14th: After School Meeting for Biz Kids
Monday, November 25th: Student Biz Kids Applications Deadline
Monday, December 2nd: Biz Kids Craft/Sale Items Due
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Dec. 3-5: Good Gift Holiday Shop open for all students to shop
Friday, December 6th, Take down/cleanup, Reconcile Funds, Biz Kids Earnings
Ways to Get Involved? CIS Student Biz Kids
● Become a Biz Kid and make and sell your crafty creations at the Holiday Shop
● Students will receive 80% of their profits, 20% is donated to our charity partner
● Biz Kids will not be present at the shop to sell their items, they will be sold by parent volunteers
● Parent/adult support is required to complete the application, and fund, plan and complete projects
● Biz Kids online application deadline, Monday, Nov. 25: https://bit.ly/3YPRd8w (the sooner the application is in, the sooner you’ll be approved as a Biz Kid)
Parent/Grandparent/Family Friends Volunteers Sell items at the shop, help students with shopping, wrapping, set-up, clean-up, and more. Please have someone volunteer if you have a Biz Kid for at least one sign up slot. Please sign up at: https://bit.ly/4f8l8i4
Donate Supplies Gather supplies for our little shoppers to wrap their items: gift tag stickers, scotch tape, gift bags, wrapping paper, bows. Drop off supplies at the Holiday Shop donation box at school beginning November 18.
Charity Funds from this year's shop will go to a charity that will be selected from the Middle School House teams
