School Parent Organization (SPO)

ABOUT US

SPO Logo
The School Parent Organization at Campus International School

The School Parent Organization at Campus International School in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District is the organization that serves to grow and develop our community. Fundamental to our organization is a belief that everyone – parents, teachers, and students – play an important role in this mission.

Campus International is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school, Campus International emphases student inquiry and a global perspective.

One of our guiding principles is to be inclusive. All CIS families are automatically members of the SPO. There are no forms to fill out or dues to pay – this is YOUR organization.

With this comes the responsibility to get involved. The SPO and CIS have numerous opportunities to volunteer your time, talent, or support.

Remember – it truly does take a village to raise a child. Welcome to our village!

The Scholastic Book Fair raises money in the fall (November) in and spring (April) for the school to buy books and supplies for classrooms and the library. Contact Becky Lopez or Polly Karr to help.

Book Fair funds help support new reading materials for all K-8 classes/libraries.

Our yearly holiday shop (December) is a wonderful place to showcase our children's arts & crafts. If you would like to have a booth at the next holiday shop or would like to volunteer, please email Chrys Palavra or Rachel Begley.

Holiday Gift Shop Funds are donated to a charity and back to our crafty entrepreneurs.

Music Boosters is a 501(c)3 that raises money to support music programming at CIS. Contact Jason Levy for more information. Follow the Campus International Music Boosters facebook page for updates.

Lit Fest (fall) and Art Fest (spring) bring the community together around student achievement. Participating students display or perform their work in a showcase setting.

To volunteer, suggest an activity or small fundraiser to lead, contact Kate Grzelak or Cathryn Siegal-Bergman.

Enjoy a middle school (MYP) student led poetry night at CIS Main Stage. For more information, contact Perry!
